Your Queen has been feeling guilty again for neglecting her peeps.  She has admitted to composing messages while riding in cars, lying in bed, knitting, etc.  Then the brain figures they must have done that, so it doesn't.  uh....

But it is fall.  And that brings something we enjoy:  football!  Yes, we actually like football.  We can thank/blame one time husband (oth) for this.  We shall explain.

  Once upon a time in the life of married, oth was an avid football fan which made for many hours of football TV time.  Bombarded by this a lot of the year, the future queen (yet to come) gradually watched more and more and learned the basics of the game.  Oth also traveled frequently for his employers.  And, low and behold, one Monday evening Monday Night Football was on TV!  Oth was far away.  Yes.  we were watching football by choice!

A classic "Ah Ha" moment.

Which by a semi-convoluted route, brings us to the topic:  Sports stars that don't seem to be able to properly speak English!!!!

All graduated high school.  Almost all attended college and quite a few even got a degree.  Now we ask you, how did it happen that no one required that they learn to speak our language?  And why is it acceptable for them to speak to the public continuously using the wrong words, mispronouncing words, and just plain sounding ignorant?  Is this what we want our children emulating?  But the bigger question may be:  Do most people even know the difference?
