MORE ON FRIENDS

Since writing the previous blog on friends, your Queen has thought a lot about a different kind of friend.  Those 'friends' that you thought at the time were friends forever but one day, inexplicably disappeared from your life.  You miss them.  And don't understand their disappearance.  'Course wondering what you did or said, I think, is natural.  And if it isn't something you brought about by an action or word, it would be nice to know what it really was that took them out of your life.  We hope we are not the only one that this has happened to.

Personal experience includes one who's job moved her away and we found out about it way later.  Not really a reason not to stay in touch if you were really a 'friend'.

Then there's the one who swore to stay in touch and when you tried to connect somehow didn't.

And one year you just didn't get the Christmas card.  Poof.

We can probably hear the rumblings of "They weren't really friends.",  "Who needs them anyway?",  Etc. Etc.  Your Queen is a seriously curious person.  And how didn't we see that coming?

More holidays.  More mysteries.  Less cards to mail.

Queens just can't control everything.
