BOOKS YET AGAIN,
As you should be well aware by now, your Queen has a 'thing' about books. Love to be surrounded by them, see them, have them in our hands. And........read them?
We do have to admit to finally giving up our compulsion to finish each book. Too many books. Too little time. Whew! (Have to look up that 'formula' again that has to do with age as a yardstick of how many pages to read before you can stop.......Very freeing.)
First. Just finished "The Help" by Kathryn Sockett. This was hugely popular not long ago and we took a look and passed. Well, it came up again on our trusty Kindle one night after finishing one book and......no book to start! This is a totally unacceptable state. One of the best reasons to have Kindle. We were a little surprised at how much this book engaged. And not to mention we actually remember these events.....We just didn't want to be disappointed by the ending. And were. A little. In thinking back, it is logical. Maybe there should be a sequel. ugh
Still worth the read.
Next. As your Queen was out on one of her favorite pastimes (shopping, remember?) she spotted a used children's book with the title "If I Were Queen of the World"! How fast did that book jump into our hands? The story is simple and good. The illustrations are fabulous! Actual oil paintings! Copyright 1997. Written by Fred Hiatt. Incredibly illustrated by Mark Graham.
And that's it from the Queen's Library.

Really loved the book. The movie not so much. Still reading mind candy, jack Reacher novels.
